The UNC Center for Functional GI & Motility Disorders is hosting a Patient Symposium on Saturday, October 25, 2008. The theme is Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders: New Perspectives and Treatments.  The symposium will be held at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

The registration fee is $25.00 and includes all plenary sessions, breakout sessions, lunch, refreshment breaks, and printed materials. Registration begins at 8:00am. The program runs from 8:30am until 5:30pm.

There will be Q&A sessions following plenary sessions as well as breakout sessions at the end of the day, providing plenty of opportunity for questions and answers with the symposium faculty.

  • IBS diet and nutrition
  • Pediatric functional GI disorders
  • Incontinence, constipation, bloating
  • Functional dyspepsia and other upper GI symptoms
