Tech: Jaime Cruz Medrano, (Nominated by James Williams): “The anesthesia machine was not passing the checkout.  Mr. Jaime Cruz was able to take the machine apart and fix the problem.  Biomed confirmed the fix.  All really great, and I appreciate it!”.

CRNA: Megan Brown, (Nominated by Mia Kang): “On a busy evening, Megan cheerfully went into a challenging case to relieve a resident and stayed late to finish it.  She is always so helpful and a wonderful colleague!”

Resident: Jacob Davis, (Nominated by Robert Kyle): “While performing his role as the Code Resident, he was called to Cath Lab A for a critically ill pt with PE. He accurately assessed the situation, managed the case appropriately, and established venous access and respiratory support. When the managing ACT arrived, a smooth transition and ultimately successful outcome followed”.

Faculty: Derek Nelsen, (Nominated by Katie Ramsdell):  “We had an emergency case for VIR called at 6:30am for a very sick PICU patient.  Dr. Nelsen happened to have a late start that morning and went out of his way to help the overnight team and the incoming team navigate the situation.  I really appreciated how he appeared out of nowhere and jumped right in to lend a helping hand.”
