Vaccine Eligibility update on March 18th

Group 4 Eligibility: We are pleased that additional members of our community are eligible for the vaccine this week. Governor Cooper announced that beginning March 17, people in Group 4 who have a medical condition that puts them at higher risk of serious illness from COVID-19 are eligible for vaccinations. On April 7, the rest of Group 4 will become eligible, including all UNC-Chapel Hill faculty, staff and student employees who are not in Groups 1, 2 or 3.

UNC HR provides additional information about the Carolina Together Testing Program related to employees, as well as an update on the COVID-19 vaccine. As Chancellor Guskiewicz announced in November, we are implementing a robust testing program for the Spring 2021 semester that will help us prevent the spread of COVID-19 on our campus. Testing is one important part of a comprehensive approach to preventing the spread of COVID-19. Wearing a mask, maintaining six feet physical distance and following other COVID-19 Community Standards are also key to prevention.
