2023 BCBP Research Retreat

The Department is excited for our Annual Retreat on Thursday. The retreat starts at 9 AM and the full schedule is attached. The first poster session begins at 9:30 AM. Parking is available on street surrounding the venue, or at the American Tobacco North Parking deck at 305 W Pettigrew Street. Carpooling is recommended. We look forward to seeing everyone who registered in advance on Thursday morning.

Main Event: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
Happy Hour/ Poster Session II: 3:30-4:30pm
We will have poster sessions, student talks, and a keynote speaker. There will be a light breakfast, delicious lunch, and end with a hybrid happy hour/ poster session.
Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Linda Columbus from the University of Virginia. Her lab studies the structure and function of transmembrane proteins involved in bacterial pathogenesis.
This will be an exciting event, and we look forward to seeing everyone for a day full of fellowship.
