The BCBP department’s first Postdoc Social of the summer, held on Friday, June 28, was a resounding success. The Genetic Medicine lawn was abuzz with laughter and lively conversations as postdocs, research associates, and international scholars came together to enjoy an afternoon of fellowship and competition.

The event kicked off with a series of engaging games that saw our postdocs showcase their competitive spirit. The highlight of the day was the much anticipated cornhole tournament, where six teams engaged in three rounds of enthusiastic play. After a series of close matches, the team of Ajit and Leiah emerged as the winners, with the team of Ashhar and Abid following closely as the runner-up.

In addition to the fun and games, the social was a chance to pass out brand new mugs, presented as a token of appreciation.

The department extends its heartfelt thanks to all the postdocs, the true heartbeat of our community, for making the first summer social a memorable event. We look forward to more such gatherings that strengthen the bonds of our community.
