In 2022, we ranked 8th best in NIH funding among all Biochemistry departments in the nation, securing over $18.5 million in funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and 7th among public institutions. Six faculty (Ronald Swanstrom, Dale Ramsden, Aziz Sancar, G. Greg Wang, Jean G. Cook, Bill F. Marzluff) ranked in the top 149 most highly funded NIH investigators in 2022. Of special note is that Ronald Swanstrom ranked 7th among all principal investigators in Biochemistry for total NIH dollars. We are proud of our faculty for their hard work and accomplishments!
