About

Yury Desyaterik is a Research Assistant Professor in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. He joined the UNC CFAR in 2021 to engage in all aspects of mass spectrometry imaging technology using the IR-MALDESI platform, including instrumentation development and application in research. Yury received his PhD in physical chemistry from UNC, where he worked extensively in time-of-flight mass spectrometry in the laboratory of Tomas Baer, and he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
