Seminar Summaries:

genoTYPER-NEXT

Traditional screening methods for on/off target effects from genome editing experiments may be time consuming, ineffective, and/or expensive. GENEWIZ has developed a method to alleviate all of these pain points, termed genoTYPER-NEXT. This proprietary method includes interactive data exploration to promote in-depth, scalable, clone analysis.

Metagenomics

Shotgun genome sequencing, coupled with GENEWIZ’s proprietary bioinformatics pipeline, allows researchers to visualize and interact with their data for species identification and functional significance. GENEWIZ also offers custom targeted 16S sequencing using their optimized MetaVx™ service and is developing a full length 16S assay for the PacBio Sequel.

Additional Next-Gen Sequencing Technologies

  • GENEWIZ has recently released ultra-long read sequencing on the PacBio Sequel for WGS.
  • The 10X Genomics Chromium provides true single-cell RNA-seq library preparation with compatibility for Illumina HiSeq sequencing.

Speaker:

Jessica Oates, Technical Application Scientist at GENEWIZ in the Next-Generation Sequencing area, providing project consultation for the HTSF NGS services.
