During the annual event, each of the AOE members was recognized for their enthusiasm, dedication and talents.


Founded in 2006, the Academy of Educators is designed to emphasize teaching as well as support faculty development, both in Chapel Hill and across the state.

It includes faculty and trainees in its mission to promote peer-to-peer leadership and teaching, and has grown to over 400 faculty and resident members. AOE members represent a diverse population of educators in various specialties.
