Fellowship Director Tommy Koonce, MD, MPH; Sam Wier, MD; Lyon; Arndt; Steve Bogdewic, PhD; and Fellowship Associate Director Dawn Morriston, MPH

The 2024 Jane Arndt Lecture was delivered by former faculty development fellowship member Corey Lyon, DO, Program Director for the University of Colorado Family Medicine Residency in Denver, Colorado. Lyon’s lecture, entitled “With Great Fellowship Training Comes Great Responsibility,” featured his unique perspective, sharp insight, and humor that make him such a compelling speaker. We were thankful to have Arndt in attendance, who was able to mingle and chat with our fellows.

Jane Arndt joined the Department of Family Medicine in 1981 and spent 25 years guiding and mentoring young faculty members. Before retiring in 2010, she served as the Associate Director of the Faculty Development Fellowship. Her love and dedication to the fellowship inspired the classes of 2009 and 2010 to collectively establish the Jane Arndt Endowment Fund to support excellence in faculty development.

This endowed, named lecture is given annually to honor Jane and her many contributions and continue to provide impactful lifelong learning.
