Biographical Information

Dr. Vielot is an epidemiologist with research interests in infectious diseases, vaccine-preventable diseases, and global health. She uses real-world data, including public and private insurance claims and electronic health records, to evaluate post-licensure vaccine use, effectiveness, and safety. She also works closely with clinical partners to improve vaccine delivery in primary health care settings using implementation science methods. Globally, Dr. Vielot has worked in sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America fielding epidemiologic studies on infectious diseases that affect children (viral gastroenteritis) and women (human papillomavirus, group B Streptococcus).
