The Age-Based Genomic Screening Project tabled at the Black Family Wellness Expo at Durham Tech Community College on March 16th. This event is held by The Links Inc. (Durham Chapter) as a part of their community service and outreach. One of the core goals of the expo was to help reduce health and economic disparities and improve lives in the community. There were many healthcare and wellness oriented tables at which one was ABGS. We had a large amount of people who were interested in hearing about genetics, screening, and participate in the research that we are currently doing. We had a wonderful time talking to community member and providing whatever resources we could!
