Paper | Age-Based Genomic Screening during Childhood: Ethical and Practical Considerations in Public Health Genomics Implementation
This manuscript adds to the robust discussion around opportunities and challenges in application of genomic sequencing technologies to screen for actionable conditions in the healthy pediatric population. The ABGS approach stands in contrast to calls for using genome-scale sequencing in healthy newborns as part of newborn screening, but creates a pathway toward parental decision-making in the context of well-child care.
