Eleanor graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with dual degrees in Biology and English and Comparative Literature, with concentrations in Chemistry and the Intersection of Science, Medicine, and Literature. She hopes to get certification as a Genetic Counselor and is working with PPMH and GENYSIS while she takes time to apply to schools.

She has taken on many roles in her community to pay it forward. In a long career of volunteering and outreach, Ellie has worked in Pathology, Microbiology, Genetics, Education, and Plant Immunology. Elliefinds her interests span a wide range of topics, but always finds a focus on people. Ellie’s work aims to solidify the interpersonal bridge between science and literature, deepening understanding and accessibility for all.

Ellie has previous research experience with the Dangl-Grant Lab at UNC-CH, and was published in Science with her team in February of 2024.
