TJ earned his MS in Information Science from UNC Chapel Hill in 2004, focusing on user interface design and information architecture. Since then he has worked as a user experience designer and software developer in startup, consulting, and academic environments. As a software developer at the Berg Lab he works with domain experts to design, build, and maintain the ClinGen GeneTracker and the Community Curation Database among other projects.
Outside the office you can find TJ hiking up some mountain, hurting himself on his skateboard, or twiddling knobs on his synthesizers.
