Dr. Piotr Mieczkowski (Professor, Genetics) was awarded an equipment grant from the North Carolina Biotechnology Center (NCBC) for his proposal titled “Enhancing the High Throughput Sequencing Facility at UNC: Upgrading from Fluent 1080 to Tecan DreamPrep NGS Workstation for Improved Capability”.
With institutional support from the Core Facility Advocacy Committee (CFAC), Dr. Mieczkowski was successful in securing funding for this important equipment upgrade, which should support significant gains in efficiency, data quality, and experimental reproducibility by harnessing the power of automation, precision, and integration.
