Jeremy Wang, PhD Awarded Genetics Faculty Research Support “Pivot” Grant

Dr. Jeremy Wang (Assistant Professor) was awarded a Faculty Research Support “Pivot” Grant from the Department of Genetics for his project focused on demonstrating efficient whole-genome Nanopore sequencing and assembly of Monkeypox virus (MPXV) genomes from clinical samples testing positive at UNC Medical Center’s Clinical Molecular Microbiology Lab (directed by Dr. Melissa Miller). 

Drs. Jenny Ting and Bev Koller Awarded New R01 from NIAID
