Department of Health Sciences Faculty Receive 2023 University Teaching Awards

January 19, 2023

Dr. Susan Beck, Clinical Laboratory Science, and Dr. Sue Coppola, Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy, were two of 25 UNC faculty members and graduate teaching assistants to be recognized with 2023 University Teaching Awards. Additionally, Seth Alexander, a School of Medicine graduate student who teaches in the Division of Radiologic Science, received an award.

Dr. Khalilah Johnson ’16 (PhD) Receives McClinton Outstanding Faculty Staff Award

Dr. Johnson is an assistant professor within the Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy. The Hortense K. McClinton Outstanding Faculty Award honors a faculty or staff member, past or present, who has made outstanding contributions to the Carolina community. Division of PA Studies Receives Two Grants to Support DEI Efforts

The Division of Physician Assistant Studies has been awarded two grants that will support the implementation of multiple DEI-related projects over the next two years, including an NCCPA STEP Up Grant to support URM Students and School of Medicine DEI Mini Grant for medical Spanish curriculum development.
