SAGA Study at the International Society for Autism Research 2024 Conference

Dr. Judi Miller who is one of our lead investigators of the SAGA Study at CHOP presented data on the emerging mental health profiles of autistic males and females at the 2024 International Society for Autism Research (INSAR) Conference in Melbourne! It was great to see our emerging findings presented down under!

Undergrad, Macey Johnson defends honors thesis

Eating in Autism Study Funded

Dr. Harrop and Dr. Wallisch (KUMC) were recently awarded a two year Eagles Autism Foundation to study eating behaviors in autism. Participants in the SAGA study will be invited to participate in this add-on study, which will include eye tracking, a snack task and food diaries. We are excited to launch this new projects!

Dr. Harrop presents webinar at the 2024 NCPA Conference

Dr. Harrop presented to clinical psychologists across the state at the North Carolina Psychological Association 2024 Conference. During this webinar, Dr. Harrop discussed research surrounding sex and gender issues in autism and presented examples from our research.

Dr. Harrop presents at the 14th Annual Insights to Autism Conference

Graduate student, Orla Putnam, received prestigious NIDCD F31 Predoctoral Award

4th year graduate student, Orla Putnam (SPHS), was awarded her 2nd predoctoral fellowship! She received a prestigious Ruth L. Kirschstein Predoctoral Individual National Research Service Award (F31) from NIDCD to support her doctoral dissertation work.
