Ms. Weaver has practiced as a certified medical assistant in children’s primary care for 15+ years, allowing her to gain insight into engaging with pediatric patients as well as parents for health care. Moreover, she has been a vaccination “champion” in seven different pediatric practices. In that capacity, she has served as the vaccine “go to” person for both families and providers in those practices. Additionally, she has attended several national vaccination conferences to increase her knowledge about pediatric vaccine administration and her effectiveness at communicating with families about vaccination. Altogether, her experience as a medical assistant and vaccine champion enables her to provide insight to clinic workflows, engagement with pediatric patients and parents and working with an interdisciplinary team to achieve set goals.
