Apoorva Gupta is a fourth-year medical student from Cary, NC and is pursuing a career in Internal Medicine. She is interested in quality improvement as a means for addressing social determinants of health in the clinical setting. She is currently working with Dr. Karina Whelan, Assistant Professor of Medicine and Co-Director of the Community Based Longitudinal Care clerkship, to improve the care of Hispanic patients with type 2 diabetes at the UNC Internal Medicine clinic at Panther Creek.
