For 50 years, the MED program has had a profound ability to create memorable experiences, forge life-long support networks, and change lives for participants, families and patients across North Carolina and the nation. And we need this program now more than ever before.

The program has been funded in several ways through the decades – including federal grants and a partnership between the UNC Schools of Medicine and Dentistry. Private philanthropy plays a huge role to further diversify funding streams and ensure MED can evolve to meet tomorrow’s challenges.
