Jim Murphy, MHA, will serve as the interim associate chair for administration for the Department of Surgery effective July 1. Murphy currently serves as ACA for the Department of Neurosurgery and will continue his work in that role during the interim period.
In addition to his role in neurosurgery, Murphy also serves as UNC Health’s system director for specialty programs.
Joellen Buckio, MHA, current ACA for the Department of Surgery, announced earlier this year her plans to retire in July.
