The UNC-Chapel Hill Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honor society recently announced its spring 2023 inductees. Included in this honored group are medical student Caroline Buse and Division of Geriatrics faculty Dr. David Lynch. Their induction to AOA is an honor and a testament to their work. Founded in 1902, AOA is “dedicated to a belief in improving care for all by recognizing high educational achievement, honoring gifted teaching, encouraging the development of leaders in academia and the community, supporting the ideals of humanism, and promoting service to others.” UNC-Chapel Hill’s AOA chapter was founded in 1954 and inducts new medical students, residents, fellows, faculty, and alumni annually.
