  • Catherine Coombs, MD, received the Prostate Cancer Foundation’s Young Investigator Award, which awarded $225,000 across three years to study whether genetic mutations that accumulate in the blood over time are linked to worse outcomes for prostate cancer. Read more.
  • Natalie Grover, MD, was awarded a three-year Lymphoma Research Foundation Career Development Award, for “CD30-Directed CAR-T Cells Co-Expressing CCR4 in Relapsed/Refractory Hodgkin Lymphoma.”

  • Kirsten A. Nyrop, PhD, (PI) and co-Investigators Marjory Charlot, MD, MPH, MSc, and Hyman B. Muss, MD, won a $50,000 one-year grant from Pfizer/American Cancer Society Quality Improvement Grant for a clinic-based “Patient-Centered Communication  about Healthy Weight” (PCC-HW) in a Diverse Sample of Women with Early Breast Cancer.
  • Matthew Painschab, MD, received an NIH K Career Development award in September 2019 to lead research dedicated to improving treatment for multicentric Castleman disease in Malawi. Read more.
