Division of General Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology

  • The Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI), in partnership with the Center for Health Equity Research at UNC-Chapel Hill and Community-Campus Partnerships for Health, has received an $80 million award to serve as the coordinating and data collection center for a four-year program that will overcome barriers and increase uptake of testing among underserved and vulnerable populations across the U.S. Giselle Corbie-Smith, MD, MSc, is lead investigator for the UNC School of Medicine, participating in a national effort to build innovative and sustainable solutions to expand test access and uptake in underserved and vulnerable communities.

Division of Oncology

  • Timothy Voorhees, MD, received the 2020 ASCO Conquer Cancer Foundation, Young Investigator Award for “Prospective Pilot Study of PD-1 Inhibition Following CD30 Directed Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell Therapy in Relapsed/Refractory Hodgkin Lymphoma.” Voorhees also received the 2020 AACR-AstraZeneca Lymphoma Research Fellowship Award for “Pilot Study of Anti PD 1 Therapy Following CD30 Directed CAR T Cell Therapy.”
