What is your clinical expertise?

My clinical interests are in the evaluation and management of patients with inflammatory arthritis, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and enteropathic arthritis.

What current project or initiative at UNC are you involved in that you are excited about?

I am most excited about my involvement in the new medical school curriculum. I am the Co-Director of the Multi-Organ Synthesis course in the Foundation Phase. This course gives us an opportunity to teach multi-system autoimmune diseases that have previously been missing from the UNC curriculum. Through the Multi-Organ Synthesis course we are able to share our enthusiasm for rheumatology with medical students.

What do you love most about Chapel Hill?

What I love most about Chapel Hill is that it has a small town feel, but it is rich in culture. Being from NY, I never thought I would be happy outside a major metropolitan center. Chapel Hill has proven me wrong!
