Karin True is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension.
What is your clinical expertise?
I am a transplant nephrologist. I see patients as a part of their evaluation to be listed for kidney transplant, and I also help manage the care of patients after transplant.
Tell us about your current role in the Department of Medicine.
I am the medical director of the nephrology clinic at the ACC.
What current project or initiative at UNC are you involved in that you are excited about?
We are in the process of moving the kidney transplant clinic and staff from the main hospital to the ACC clinic, which will be easier and more convenient for our patients, which is exciting.
What do you love most about Chapel Hill?
I am a big college baseball fan and I enjoy going to Boshamer Stadium to watch the Tar Heels play!
