The Department of Medicine’s Annual Research Day was held on April 18, 2017. Research Day is an opportunity for residents to present research projects to colleagues within the UNC community, celebrating accomplishments and fostering new collaborations.
“Research Day encourages our residents to participate in clinical and basic science research,” said Debra Bynum, MD, MMEL, Program Director for the Medicine Residency Program. “It also gives our departmental faculty the chance to share ideas and knowledge, and this stimulates discussions about opportunities to collaborate.”
The event showcased more than 30 participants representing all years of residents. Winners were chosen from three categories: clinical research, quality improvement and clinical vignette. Congratulations to the following residents:
