What is your clinical expertise?
Pulmonary immunology, influenza, critical care.
Tell us about your current role in the Department of Medicine.
I take care of patients in the medical ICU and general pulmonary clinic, teach fellows and residents, and run a lab that studies the immune system in the lung.
What current project or initiative at UNC are you involved in that you are excited about?
I’m using a new proteomic technique to study how lung immune cells fight infection and heal damaged tissue.
