Juliano Wins Teaching Award

Jonathan Juliano, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases, was recently honored with UNC’s Distinguished Teaching Award for Post-Baccalaureate Instruction. Established in 1995, the prestigious award recognizes the important role post-baccalaureate instruction plays in defining a student’s career. Only four faculty from around UNC’s campus are selected annually.

Four UNC Gastroenterology Faculty receive Award for Carolina Care Excellence

Each year, UNC Health Care administers the CMS-approved Clinician and Group Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CG-CAHPS) survey to solicit feedback from patients. One question on that survey asks patients if they would recommend their provider’s office to friends and family. One hundred and thirty three of our providers had more than 94 percent of their patients respond “Yes, definitely!” to that question, which places them in the top quartile nationally.
