Ambika Viswanathan, MD

About

Ambika worked for two years as a digital innovator in New York after graduating from Princeton with a degree in Computational Science and Bioengineering. As a medical student, she has continued to combine her interest in research and engineering and was selected to spend a year as a Howard Holderness Distinguished Medical Scholar. She has conducted research focused on Global Women’s Health, using deep learning methods to increase access to high quality ultrasound in resource limited areas. As an MSTAR student through NYU, she was selected to complete UNC’s Technology in Medical Education Scholarly Concentration and partnered with this group to create “GeriKit” – a geriatrics training mobile application. In her free time, Ambika enjoys spending time with her fiancée, who is also a medical student at UNC.
