About

Annika is from Traverse City, Michigan and attended Michigan State where she majored in Neuroscience. After college, she spent 2 years as a research fellow and a scribe. In medical school, she developed an interest in lifestyle medicine, bringing a compassionate and nonjudgemental approach to exercise counseling while serving as co-president for FitKids360. She spent time researching nutrition intake for pediatric ECMO cases, COVID vaccine trials, and social risk screening in the PICU, and was elected to AOA. Annika enjoys finding new restaurants, yoga, and time outside with her husband Brett and dog Mari (who apparently likes ice cream). She will leave behind the waters of Lake Michigan to follow in the footsteps of Erin and Andrew!
