About

James went to Williams for college where he majored in Chemistry and was on the varsity Track and Field team as a Hammer and Javelin thrower. As a medical student, James has been actively involved as a member of the Hospital Ethic Committee and also with the Medical Humanism rounds program. He founded and led an introduction to cardiology elective for pre-clerkship students and has mentored college and M1 students. He has been committed to caring for the underserved—he volunteers at the Clinica Esperanza, worked to co-develop an ED assessment referral form for patients experiencing homelessness, worked as a community outreach leader for the Rhode Island Medical Navigator Partnership, and served in the clinic to oversee biweekly “foot clinics” in addition to assistance for patients moving to more stable housing. James enjoys music and is couples matching with Ghazal who will be completing a residency in Ob/Gyn.
