About

Jess grew up working on his parents’ farm in Oregon and graduated from Notre Dame with a double major in Science and Business. As a medical student, Jess has been dedicated to service and has helped to direct and coordinate Dare to Dream, an educational outreach program to teach basic science to third graders in the area. He also served as a peer mentor to help more junior students in finding and developing research projects and co-founded their school’s Lifestyle Medicine student interest group. He is the class representative for his clinical site and as has been actively engaged in student government, serving as the Community Service Representative for his class for all four years. Fun fact about Jess – he also worked as a chair weaver in a cane shop beginning in high school and enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, and now disc golf
