About

Nicole is from Raleigh and attended Dartmouth for college where she graduated with degrees in Neurology and Global Health and served as the student body Vice President. Nicole demonstrated an early interest in Oncology research and worked with the UNC Radiation Oncology department for a year after college. As a medical student, she continued to participate in oncology focused research, specifically breast cancer, and began working as a mentor with Project SHORT (Students for Higher Education Opportunities and Representation in Training). In recognition of her commitment to patients and her peers, Nicole was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society where she serves as a co-president. She has been interested in narrative medicine and helped to found the Beyond Medicine Book Club and the Social Medicine Club. In her free time, Nicole enjoys long distance running, gardening, and painting.
