Patrick Hazelrigg, MD

About

Patrick grew up in California and initially was interested in mechanical engineering before transferring to Berkeley where he majored in Sociology. As a Health Career Connections summer intern with the Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association, he was able to participate in projects aimed at reducing provider burnout and providing leadership skills to practicing physicians. After graduation, Patrick worked as a direct service programs coordinator for the local food bank to help deliver food during the first part of the COVID pandemic, helping to establish the organization’s first drive through program. With an interest in primary care, Patrick began medical school at UC Davis with their accelerated track. He has been actively engaged as a medical student, working as a student officer with their pediatric clinic, serving as the class representative for the Step preparation task force, and working as an interviewer with the school’s admissions committee. Patrick continues to be committed to a career as a primary care physician who provides outstanding longitudinal care to patients with complicated medical illnesses.
