Reaves is from North Carolina and attended UNC for college where she majored in Chemistry and Medicine, Literature, and Culture. As a medical student, she completed her MPH with a practicum that focused on identifying quality improvement issues related to workflow and interface with the electronic health record system at the SHAC student clinic. Reaves has worked extensively with the UNC IHQI as a Clinician Leadership in Quality and Safety Scholar with her primary project focused on improving the quality of care and functional outcomes for older patients in the hospital setting. Reaves has been dedicated to volunteerism with SHAC, serving as the COO and Chief Policy Officer for the student run clinic. In recognition of her outstanding performance and leadership Reaves was inducted into the AOA Honor Society. In her free time, Reaves enjoys playing pickleball and other outdoor activities.
