Congratulations to Li Qian, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, for recently being appointed a member of the AHA’s HBCU Scholar Mentor Program.
AHA just launched the HBCU program in North Carolina this year, and Dr. Qian will be mentoring one of two North Carolina Central University (NCCU) scholars, Chisom Ezenweny. Dr. Qian was honored to be invited to be one of the first faculty mentors for the state’s 2021-2022 HBCU Scholars, and she is extremely excited that she is able to contribute and have UNC/MHI as a part of the leading effort in the state. This is a major effort to promote diversity nationally.
