Dr. Darshan Shastri and Dr. Nathan Quig completed their neurosurgery residency training at UNC Health and celebratedDr. Darshan Shastri and Nathan Quig at their neurosurgery residency graduation their accomplishments with faculty and staff at the neurosurgery residency graduation this past weekend.

Dr. Darshan Shastri will complete a neuroendovascular fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Nathan Quig is heading to Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia for an endovascular fellowship. He will then join St. Luke’s Hospital in Pennsylvania in 2025.

Dr. Carlos David and Dr. Michael Galgano were also honored during the graduation with Teacher of the Year awards

The UNC Neurosurgery Residency Training Program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). We currently offer a seven-year program and accept two residents per year. The program is currently led by Residency Program Director, Dr. Carlos David.
