Amy Bryant, MD, MSCR has been selected to be inducted into the University of North Carolina’s Chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) National Medical Honor Society. Dr. Bryant was nominated by one of her former medical students who felt that she embodies the values of AOA and wrote that she is “an innovator, and advocate and a physician I aspire to be like.”

According to the AOA website, “it was founded in 1902 and is an honor society that is dedicated to the belief that it can improve care for all by recognizing high educational achievement, honoring gifted teaching, encouraging the development of leaders in academia and the community, supporting the ideals of humanism, and promoting service to others.”

“It’s an honor to be recognized in this way,” said Amy Bryant, MD, MSCR. “I love working with medical students and hope to help them see how meaningful a career in medicine can be.”

Dr. Amy Bryant is an Associate Professor and Director of the Complex Family Planning Division in UNC Health’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is also the current director of the complex family planning fellowship at UNC Health.
