Why Obstetrics and Gynecology?

Ob/Gyn is the specialty I would have wanted to make up if it didn’t already exist! It’s an honor to care for patients through adolescence, reproductive journeys, menopause and beyond. Getting to work in a team in the OR brings me so much joy, so getting to be a clinician and surgeon is the dream! I look forward to providing inclusive, trauma-informed, full-spectrum reproductive and gynecologic care.

Why UNC?

I was a volunteer doula at UNC before even applying to medical school and saw firsthand how amazing the residents were – this was only reaffirmed while rotating with them as a UNC med student! UNC offered what I looked for in a residency program: lovely and supportive people, strong generalist experience, and support to explore my diverse interests (substance use disorders, LGBTQ+ care, medical education, sexual health, integrative medicine, etc ok ok I’ll stop here). I also love this geographical area so I am THRILLED to get to continue my training here!
