Why Obstetrics and Gynecology?

During my OB-GN clerkship I couldn’t deny the innate excitement I felt in coming to work and becoming a part of the team. I feel such a privilege to provide this care to people. How truly amazing it is to be a part of the happiest day of someone’s life, to comfort them on a day filled with grief or the anxiety of the unknown, or to simply share a simple Tuesday afternoon check up with them. I think this is simply the best job.

Why UNC?

UNC has been a distant thought in my mind since my undergraduate days. That distant thought became more and more of a pull and a need to make this idea a reality during my interview process for residency. I left the resident social wishing that I could be hanging out with these people in real life, and my interview day with faculty that shared laughs, stories, and their honest selves let me know I would grow into the kind of physician and the kind of person I want to be during my time here. I was ready for a change and am so excited to be here.
