The OIA is proud to announce the upcoming release of North Carolina Children’s Global Health Handbook- by one of our 2017 OIA Resident Global Health Scholars, Erica Bjornstad, MD, MPH. The manual is to be used as a guide for residents and other providers who are teaching pediatrics in the developing world. Incorporating World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines as laid out in the Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI), this manual is geared for teaching junior clerkship medical students, especially for those in their first clinical pediatric rotation. The manual is intended for visiting residents/providers from a foreign institution but may be used by local staff as well.

The book will be available for purchase (print or electronic) beginning in March 2018, and can be pre-ordered here: https://www.uncpress.org/book/9781469643069/north-carolina-childrens-global-health-handbook/
