My research focuses on medical ultrasound technology development with a particular emphasis on developing new methods for interrogating the mechanical properties of tissue using acoustic radiation force. My work spans theoretical development, in silico and in vitro testing, pre-clinical demonstration, and pilot clinical implementation in application to delineating the structure and composition of carotid atherosclerotic plaque for stroke risk prediction, evaluating skeletal muscle pathology including dystrophic and post acute stroke degeneration, monitoring kidney transplant health, and diagnosing breast cancer.
