The ImmunoEngineering lab develops translatable delivery systems to enhance vaccines and immunotherapies. Our general approach is to develop biomaterials-based or protein engineering strategies capable of manipulating exposure to antigens and/or immunomodulatory agents. Controlling delivery allows us to influence the duration and intensity of immune responses, limit toxicities, and directly manipulate the tissue microenvironment. Our primary focus is cancer, although we have interests in treating/preventing infectious diseases, esophageal disorders and substance abuse.
