Eben Lichtman, MD is an assistant professor at the University of North Carolina, as well as an associate member of the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. He is a board-certified hematologist and specializes in the diagnosis and management of plasma cell disorders, including multiple myeloma (MM), smoldering multiple myeloma (SMM), AL amyloidosis, and rare conditions such as POEMS syndrome. His research interests are primarily focused on the development and conduct of clinical trials investigating novel therapeutic strategies for patients with multiple myeloma, including trials focusing on older and frail myeloma patients. He is also involved in translational projects focused on understanding the immune dysfunction associated with myeloma and myeloma therapies. In addition, he has worked on the development of CAR T cell therapies for hematologic malignancies including multiple myeloma.
