My passion lies in being a clinician-educator. Upon reflecting on the experiences that I have had in my medical training, I realized that what drives me to be the best teacher possible is being able to provide significant and impactful educational experiences unlike those that I have had myself. Irrespective of the level of learner, no one should finish a clinical interaction with me without having learned something. My approach to teaching is to utilize the Socratic method, allowing the learner to reason their way through clinical scenarios so that concepts can be meaningfully imparted. Moreover, by reinforcing open lines of communication with my learners, I am able to provide them deliberately constructive feedback on clinical performance but also, they can do the same for me. Thus, it is my goal to create an environment in which the learner is challenged to be better, to do better and to push himself/herself to relish that there is always something new to be learned.

A Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician by training, my clinical interests include cardiac disease in pregnancy, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and COVID-19 in pregnancy.
