Shared Decision Making in Serious Illness Course

The Shared Decision Making in Serious Illness (SDMSI) course is a free one-day 6 hour course developed by Respecting Choices and is a standardized, communication skills-based curriculum intended for physicians and
advanced practice practitioners.
The curriculum consists of two parts:
1) Discerning What Matters Most to Patients and
2) Aligning Treatment with Patient’s Goals and Values.
Providers will finish the course with the skills to facilitate person-centered, shared decision-making conversations with patients and their families. Providers will finish the course with the skills to facilitate person-centered,

Lunch will be provided.
