Aigner Moore, PhD

Aigner Moore, MD, second year resident with primary care pediatrics, was competitively selected to be the new Community Access to Child Health (CATCH) District IV Resident Liaison! In this role she will help residents from NC, SC, TN, VA, and KY. Much thanks to Alessandra Angelino, a third year pediatric resident, whose term is ending as Aigner takes over.  We are grateful to them both for continuing UNC’s national presence and expertise in building community partnerships!

The CATCH program is a flagship initiative of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). For over 25 years, the program has supported pediatricians and residents to collaborate within their communities to advance the health of all children.

Through an annual competitive process, CATCH awards seed funding for planning and implementation grants to pediatricians; fellows/fellowship trainees receive $10,000 for planning or implementation projects, while residents are awarded $2,000. CATCH is supported by a network of volunteer pediatricians who provide technical assistance to those seeking funding as well as support once a project has started. Chapter CATCH Facilitators and District Resident Liaisons serve as “boots on the ground” in the 10 AAP districts and represent their local chapter.
